Chardonnay 2023
The Commune of Buttons Chardonnay in 2023 was harvested from parcels of fruit on the north and east facing aspects of the ABC and Clover vineyards respectively. The hand harvested grapes were gently whole bunch pressed, the juice then settled in tank for 12 hours before being racked into 600L French demi-muid barrels where fermentation took place. Elevage was for 11 months. The wine has white fruits pears and peaches with a vein of citrus, it is concentrated and clipped with a chiseled minerality.
